Canadian Cinnamon Cedar


What You Need? 

Rye Whiskey. Cedar Plank. Lemon Juice/Lemon. Sugar. Water. Sprig of Thyme. Cinnamon Stick. Orange Slice (if you don’t have lemon!)

What to do? 

Pour 2 oz rye whiskey onto a cedar plank/shingle/piece of cedar in a bowl. Soak for a few hours. Mix equal parts sugar and water, bring to boil, let cool. Add sprig of thyme to make a simple syrup. Strain whiskey into shaker, mix in cooled simple syrup over ice. Shake vigorously, add cinnamon stick, garnish with cinnamon or a sprig of thyme if you want and enjoy!
